Saturday

I've got a fun, quick craft for the kids today...or for the adults.

Decorating Plastic Eggs with Craft Supplies.
It's as easy as it sounds!

Gather your old plastic eggs and some Glue Dots.
(I LOVE Glue Dots!  They make things stick easily and no mess!)

Dump out your miscellaneous craft supplies...
buttons, gems, flowers, stickers, googly eyes, ribbons, feathers, foam shapes, etc. etc.
Gather your kids and let them decorate (craft embellish) their eggs!
You just never know what they'll come up with!

My daughter headed straight to the stick on jewels and feathers.
How fun are these?

My son gravitated towards the googly eyes.
'Eye' love it!

Buttons are fun...

and check out these crazy Pom-embellished eggs!

Use whatever you have lying around...
Who knew you could decorate eggs with paperclips?

The best thing about the Glue Dots is that they come off easily!

Happy Egg Crafting to you!

Today is all about mantles!
So many incredibly beautiful Easter mantels have been
linked up to my Springtime Holiday Link Party...
of course I have to share them all!

Cottage in the Oaks put together this Spring-themed mantle.
I'm in love with her 150 year old mantle they inherited from a church.  What a treasure!

These SPRING bottles and bright colored flowers are adorable
on Cobblestones & Ivy's shelf/mantle.

Look at this treasure-filled Easter Mantle from Our Life in a Click.
What great pieces!

Check out this Spring egg-themed mantle from Imprintalish
The colorful eggs are beautiful!

This mantle from Homespun With Love displays objects
that reflect why we celebrate Easter.
I love the He Is Risen framed print!

Look at this Springtime mantle from Our Family Journey.
So many fun frames and cute birdhouses.

21 Rosemary Lane created this Easter mantle with black, white and yellow.
I would have never thought to put these colors together for Easter...I like it!

Check out this sweet bunny mantle from Fox Hollow Cottage.
I'm thinking I need a banner just like hers...and a turquoise wall!

Adventures in Decorating linked up this beautiful Easter mantle.
I'd like to pick this up and move it directly into my home!

Look at this cheery Spring mantle from Swirlygirl Dreams & Decor.
Did you see her bookpage wreath?  So fun!

The Money Pit created this mantle to be more Christ-centric for Easter.
The sign, the cross and the banner all point back to Christ.

I already shared Inspired Honeybee's adorable Fabric Carrots--click here,
but take a look at her mantle with the bright and cheery Easter Subway Art, too!

Thanks to all for linking up such great mantle inspiration!

There are so many incredible Egg Decorating Ideas floating around the internet,
that it's so hard to decide which ones to make!
(Am I the only one that has this problem?  I want to make them all!)

Well, I finally sat down and made...

Bookpage Eggs!  Aren't they fun?
I've seen this idea on many blogs, but have never tried them--until now!

They were WAY easier than I thought, too!
I just cut up strips of an old book and Mod Podged them onto plastic eggs!
My fingers were a sticky mess, but totally worth it!

Wait until you see what other great Egg Decorating Ideas I found for you

First up is Creative Juice who made these gorgeous Speckled Eggs with paint and a toothbrush!
They look so real!

Take a look at these super bright eggs!
The Winthrop Chronicles dyed their Easter Eggs with Neon coloring.
The fun nests are made from brown lunch sacks cut into strips.

Burlap & Buttons made these beautiful paper mache eggs with kraft paper and a paint pen.
I love the Easter words she wrote on them!

You're not going to believe how Sew and the City made these eggs...
store bought dye and eggs tied up in lace tights!
My favorites are the blue ones-- they look like water.

Sew and the City also made these Glittered Eggs.  I love that sparkle!

Look at this Chalkboard Egg from The Moody Fashionista!
I want to make these! They're so cute!  Think teacher gifts!

Sweet Anne Designs shows you how to make these fun Mosaic Eggs.
Anne used crushed up (egg) shells glued onto an egg.

And here's some more beautiful eggs from Sweet Anne Designs
These are made with stamps, tissue paper and Mod Podge.  So elegant.

Moments with the Montanos made these Henna Inspired Decorative Eggs with puffy paint.
What beautiful designs!

SWWEEET!
These Candy Pomander Eggs from LollyJane
are made with Smarties candies and a glue gun!  So pretty!

Bliss Bloom Blog shows you the 4 steps it takes to create this Silica Gel Egg.
Amazing!  I've never thought to save those silica packets.

Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom made these sweet Ruffled Eggs with fabric and hot glue.
I love the bright and cheery fabrics!

Have you ever wondered how to make these incredible Pysanky Eggs?
A Creative Cookie shows you how!

And if you don't want to decorate eggs, you could always make your own.
Look at these unexpected Paint Chip Eggs from
Such a fun idea!

Wednesday

The best things about hosting a Link Party, is meeting so many different bloggers.
I love finding new inspiration and making new friends through blogging!
Who knew blogging could be so much fun?

I recently came across this gorgeous Easter display from Janis at All Things Beautiful.

The cross, the scripture, the gate...I love it!
Janis shows you how to make your own green moss cross in her post.

She found the gate in a salvage yard and sewed the vellum-printed scripture onto the gate.

So lovely...I'd like her to come over and duplicate this for my home!

And just look at her Easter table!  Wow!

Did you notice the hymn book and music place mats
Janis made them from old vintage sheet music, Mod Podge and wax paper!  How fun!

And check out her Jesus Easter Tree.
The eggs on the tree represent the new life we can have in Christ.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here."
2 Corinthians 5:17

Visit Janis' site, All Things Beautiful to see the details of creating this Tree.
There's a family devotional to download that corresponds with the assembly of this tree.

I loved reading Janis' special connections with displaying a TREE in her home,
and remembering that Christ's death was on a TREE.

Is the decor in your house representing the true meaning of Easter?

One more thing:
I just have to share this amazing Old Window Art that Janis has created
using some architectural photos from her recent trip to England and France.
So fabulous!

Thanks for all the inspiration, Janis!

There are so many incredibly creative bloggers out there--that you have to see!
