On Monday night, I attended a Halloween crafting get-together,
with...
Seattle-area bloggers:
Marie from Make and Takes
and Lyndsey from The Stationery Place.
Aren't they cute?!
The event was held at Trophy Cupcakes in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood.
The have the cutest party room decorated with...
great big, tissue paper poms. So festive!
They even have a little party store with tissue paper poms cut and ready to take home.
Lyndsey decorated the room with this Halloween garland
using a circle punch and her sewing machine.
I love the framed chalkboard and glittered pumpkin, too.
Free 'Eek' and 'Boo' printables found at Hank and Hunt.
Marie and Lyndsey gave some quick instructions, and set us off to craft (and visit).
Ready to see what we made?!
First up, Spider Punch Note card.
Spider pattern was punched through card stock.
Using black embroidery floss, we sewed up the spider and
adhered it to cute Halloween paper, then adhered it to a note card.
Next craft, Scrabble Tile Necklaces.
A little bit of strong glue was used to adhere the metal loops onto the Scrabble tiles.
Card stock was cut to fit and adhered with tacky glue.
Entire top was covered with Glossy Accents liquid (this stuff is amazing!) and set to dry.
Next craft, Decorated Pumpkins.
Little craft pumpkins to decorate to our choosing with paint and letter stickers.
Some painted their pumpkins white, other kept them orange.
The yarn spider was made like a pom with
black pipe cleaners for the legs and wiggly eyes.
Next craft, Felt Wreath.
Using a foam wreath and 120 felt circles--folded and pinned=
this fun wreath!
Add on a spider and black ribbon to hang.
and finally...
this Glittery Spider Ring!
Isn't it fabulous?!
Plastic spider ring, painted with ModPodge and dipped in fine silver glitter!
So simple!
Before leaving, I had to get my picture taken with Lyndsey
and Marie.
Thanks for a great time!
Marie and Lyndsey are thinking about hosting a Christmas craft night in December.

I would so be there if I could - looks like tons of fun - I mean, it's hosted at a cupcake place? I've wondered how those necklaces are made and the fabric wreath is beautiful - thinking I might try and make that paper garland for our Halloween party this weekend
