Cheer Up Gifts- Lemons to Lemonade and Sunshine

A friend of mine recently was going through some tough times.

Tough times require a little cheering up.
Cheering up requires a little creativity and love.

It doesn't take much to show someone you care.

Here's what I used.

Supplies:

-1 pink plastic mini crate from Target dollar bin.
-1 bag of mini lemons.
-1 box of Crystal Light Lemonade mix.
-1 Bath & Body Works Kitchen Lemon soap.
-1 Lemons to Lemonade tag
-pink ribbon (tie around soap and tag)
-yellow wired ribbon (tie around the cellophane)
-cellophane

I printed the tags on photo paper and added some pink ribbon.

Once all the lemon things are inside the crate,
wrap in cellophane and tie up with ribbon.

Deliver to your friend...
or in my case, leave it on her doorstep!
A bit of joy and a small smile, helps to ease the pain a bit.

Here's another 'cheer up' idea I've seen around...
A Bit of Sunshine!

Package up a goodie bag of all things yellow.
Somehow yellow things seem to make everything brighter!

This was created for a tween in mind...
I used yellow gum, pencils, balloons, headbands, fingernail polish, ducky necklace, soap, caramel corn, Snapple drink, sunglasses, ribbon and a 'Bee Happy' print all stuffed in a yellow gift sack.

Stick a Sunshine tag on a yellow craft stick and tape inside the bag.

May YOU have a bright and sunny day--
no matter what the weather!
Take care, friends.

Here's some of my favorite 'uplifting' scriptures:

Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 3:3-6
But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people. Who have set themselves against me all around.
