Here's another chocolaty spider treat for you.
Creepy Crawly Cupcakes
Have you seen them 'hanging' around the 'web'?
Well, my version won't have you 'stuck' in the kitchen...

In fact, the hardest part of crafting these cupcakes is finding the black shoestring licorice. (Eventually found at a random Dollar Plus store.)
Simply bake up a batch of chocolate cupcakes and frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
(Boxed mix with canned frosting always works when running short on time, plus my kids think they're better than the ones I slave away at!? Crazy kids!)Cover the entire frosted top with chocolate jimmies sprinkles.
Add on two candy eyes. (found at grocery stores and craft stores.)

Using a toothpick, make 4 small holes into each side of the cupcake.
Cut licorice into desired length and stick one piece in each hole.
Bend licorice a bit to make legs look more realistic.

Extra long licorice pieces create Daddy Long Leg spiders!

LOVE these! I hate spiders, but these would be too cute to scare me, and of course, too cute not to eat! ;)
