I made a gumball wreath! I did! I did!
Back during my Spring Holiday Link Party,
Well... my sister-in-law saw it, fell in love and 'requested' I make her one for her birthday.
(Do I always do what my sister-in-law asks? Ummm...yes.)
However, if she really knew how simple it was--she'd be making herself one in every color!

Here's the supplies I used:
One foam wreath, lots of gumballs and lots and lots of hot glue!
You'll also need spray paint and a large ribbon for hanging your wreath.

Simply hot glue each gumball onto the foam wreath.
Press firmly and make sure the gumballs are touching each other.
Try to fill in the empty spaces as you glue the gumballs down.

I cannot for the life of me, find the picture of me spray painting the wreath!
So you'll just have to trust me. I almost kept the wreath multi-colored...
but wanted it to match my Mother's Day decor, so I spray painted it.
I gave it one coat of primer and 2 coats of turquoise spray paint.

Here it is before...
and here it is after!
Now, you need to know that I've been having some crazy craft troubles this past week.
Blame it on Mother's Day stress, having a garage sale, distracting--although beautiful summer weather in Seattle, or just being in a hurry!
I'm hoping that my troubles will help you if you decide to make your own gumball wreath.

-buy a TON of gumballs!
(You do not want to make another trip to the store mid-project!)
(Plus you or your kids will enjoy the leftovers!)
-make sure you have PLENTY of hot glue sticks!
(I went through 4 big sized sticks!)
-don't spray paint the back of the wreath UNTIL the front side is COMPLETELY dry!
(Trust me on this!)
(Trust me on this!)
-SECURELY hang your wreath!
(This baby is very, very heavy!)

And there you have it...
A Gumball Wreath.
I bet you're wondering if my sister-in-law liked it?
She didn't LIKE it--She LOVED it! She squealed with glee!
