Thankful Tree-Themed Tags

Ah, November. The month of gratitude and thankfulness. How can you not love this month?

There is something amazing about saying 'thank you' to someone that actually makes YOU (the giver of the 'thank you') feel so good. That's the power of gratitude. When we give thanks, we take our eyes off ourselves and place it on others. And when we move our thoughts off of ourselves, good things happen. We have a new mindset, a healthy attitude and a selfless heart that brings joy no matter what our circumstances. 

I love to tell people thank you and if I can tell them thanks with a cute little card and treat...even better! Check out these printable thank you tags you can use all season long.
Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter and Christmas.

I love these Reeses's chocolate peanut butter trees candies. Have you seen them in your stores? If not, (affiliate link) click here. These candy trees work perfectly with any of the tags. Just tape a small size onto the back of each tag and hand out to those you want to say 'thanks' to.

You could also use these tags with other candy or chocolates that have a tree printed on the packaging. Look how fun this Andes Mint chocolate bar looks with the Christmas thankful tag. Hole punch tag and tie on with a coordinating ribbon.

These also work well with gifts with leaves printed on them. This is my current favorite smelling hand soap this year from Bath & Body Works....White Coconut Caramel! Oh wow!

Another fun idea is to use this tag on a mini Christmas tree or plant. Hole punch the tag and tie with ribbon directly on the tree. What a fun and festive gift!

Thanksgiving in a Box with Printables

Have a college kid or a loved one who can't be with you for Thanksgiving? Why not send them a box filled with everything they need to have their own Thanksgiving? It's fun, cute and you know it will bring a smile to their face!

Our daughter lives in Alaska which makes coming home for Thanksgiving very difficult! I've been sending her Thanksgiving in a box for a few years, now. 
You can find everything you need at your local grocery store. Here's what I put in the box...all things I know she'll eat.

Print out the box flaps, menu and card.

Click here for the free menu and blank card.

If you'd like to make your own 'menu' with the products you found, just print out the blank card and write your own. 

Trim the tags and tape or glue the printables onto the flaps of the box. 

Write a note to your loved one on the blank card.

Place menu and card inside the box and mail it off so it arrives in time.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving no matter who is able to show up at your table.

Hand Sanitizer Gift--Hands Down, You're the Best!

Here's a quick an easy gift to 'hand' out to anyone you need to thank this season. It's a perfect gift for our current 'avoiding germs' world we're living in right now. 

Bath & Body Works had their Anti-Bacterial Hand Sprays on sale, so I purchased a bunch for the ladies that help me lead Bible Study. I love these hand sprays much better than the gels. They're super quick to use and they don't make a mess like the gels.

I typed up my own greeting, but you could easily print out my blank HANDS DOWN tags and write in your own sentiments. To print your own Hands Down cards, click here.

Print on card stock paper, trim and hole punch. Tie on a ribbon and 'hand' deliver. Well, actually these were more of the no contact, 'porch drop-off' deliveries. 

These tags could also work with other 'hand' themed gifts like lotions, soaps and even mittens.

Seed Puns with Printable Tags for Gift Giving

I'm always looking for small treats and creative gifts to give others. My go-to is usually a fun pun with a sugary candy bar or treat. Everyone loves that, right? Well, lately it seems that more and more people are staying away from sugary treats. I am obviously not one of those people, but nonetheless, I see a shift and I'm taking notice. The problem of course, is coming up with healthy treat ideas that are easy to give.

When my teenage son asked me to buy him some seeds to snack on, my brain immediately began to think in seed puns for gift giving. After a few tries, I came up with these printable seed pun tags. They work well for Thanksgiving or really, anytime. Take a look. 

This one was delivered to a friend's doorstep after major surgery. 

To make your own seed pun gifts, simply print out the tags and cut them out. Hole punch the side and tie the tags onto a package of seeds with a ribbon. I made some tags for sunflower seeds and some for pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin and Gourd Printable Tags

Fall is my favorite season.
The sights, the smells, the pumpkins, the fall colors, the leaves and gourds! What's not to like?

I've crafted up some festive fall pun tags for you to attach to a gourd or a pumpkin. Who wouldn't want a fall vegetable on their desk or doorstop with a clever tag attached? It's the perfect little fall gift. Give for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or any time during the fall season.

It couldn't be simpler. Print out the tags.

Trim the tags and hole punch. Add a ribbon and tie them on to a pumpkin or a gourd or anything related vegetable. Add a personalized note on the back.

I used a lightweight white cardstock paper to print my tags on.
Orange ribbon was found at the Dollar Tree.
Gourds and pumpkins were found at the local pumpkin patch- aka the grocery store.

You don't have to give just one pumpkin...why not give a bowl full of an assortment of fall vegetables?

Candy Turkey Necklaces

It's time for another turkey craft! 
I don't know why crafting up turkeys are so much fun?  Could it be because they're so silly looking?  It may have something to do with their crazy wattle?  Or their weird shape?  Or all their feathers?  Who knows? 
These little candy turkeys can be worn as necklaces, or just sitting at each place setting on your Thanksgiving table.  They're very similar to the bat necklaces I made for Halloween. Remember?

Making a Candy Turkey Necklace

Supplies needed to make Candy Turkey Necklaces:
-small storage containers (from the Dollar Store or online- click here.)
-googly eyes
-hot glue
-black cording, ribbon or string
-colored fun foam in red, yellow and orange
-red ric-rac or red ribbon
-scissors
-Crop-o-dile or a very, very strong hole punch
-M&M's (or other small candies) 

First, using a hot glue gun, glue on two wiggly eyes to the container. 

Next, cut a small triangle out of the orange fun foam and a small piece of the red ric-rac.  Hot glue the nose and wattle in place.

Using this template- click here, cut out three fun foam feathers, one of each color.

Make tiny little cuts around the feathers.

Glue feathers onto the back of the container.  Place hot glue on each feather, before sticking on the next one.

Using a Cropodile tool, punch a hole over the dot. (This is my favorite crafting tool, ever! It punches holes through anything!Using ribbon, string or black cording, measure out about 30-33 inches.

Thread both ends into the hole of the lid, and tie a knot.

Tie a few knots to keep the cording from pulling through. I tied three knots right on top of each other.

Trim the ends.

Pull off any hot glue threads that are left.
