Hole Punched Pails

Look what I made!
After having fun adding ribbon to Target's $1. pails, click here to see post if you missed it, I wanted to try making my own hole punched pails.

This metal pail came from the $1. section at Target.

I used my We R Memory Keepers Big Bite hole puncher/eyelet setter.  Do you have one of these amazing things that can punch through paper, cloth, plastic, leather and metal?

I punched holes all the way around the top of the pail.

I threaded some thick twine I had on hand, around the top and through each hole.

Using some hot glue and more twine, I wrapped the wood handle.

I couldn't stop punching, so I added another row of holes in the middle of the pail.  Threaded the twine, and tied it off with a knot.  Ta-da!
You didn't think I would stop with just punching holes in one pail, did you?

Of course not!  On the next pail, I punched two sets of holes lined up on top of each other about 2 inches apart.

This time I threaded wide ribbon through the stacked holes to make a cute border.

I wrapped the wood handle with ribbon and filled it up!  I have so many other designs I want to try punching...I think I need to go back to Target for some more $1. pails...this is too much fun!
