Father's Day Fishing Party

Well, get out your fishing gear and your Go Fish card game...

It's a fishing themed party for Dad!  He'll love it!

I put my kids in charge of making the balloons.  Aren't these 'balloon' fish fun?  Regular blue & light blue balloons with an animal twisty balloon  tied around it.  Use a Sharpie to color in the eye.

 Every party must have cute food, clever ideas and of course, puns!

(There just happen to be a ton of fish puns out there.)

The kids made fish 'cods' for all the dads.

The menu consisted of fish sticks, salmon burgers, (seaweed) aka salad and fruit placed strategically on top of a glass fish platter.
(1 sliced marshmallow and 1 blueberry made the eye.)

and jellyfish?!  Oh yeah!

At each place setting was a bucket of bait. Which was really gummy worms in white mini tin pails.

Blue cellophane, bobbers and plastic fish lined the table.

Lots of fish treats included... M&M's and Goldfish crackers.

(Vintage Fish pitcher found at an antique shop...it gurgles when you pour it!)

Have you seen those Gurgle Pots - they're adorable!  I think I want one in every color!

Go Fish cupcakes.

(Pretzel stick rods, licorice fishing line and a goldfish graham cracker.)

Bobbers

(Cake pops dipped in white candy melts and red sugar sprinkles.)

Fishing pole treats!

1 Pirouette rolled wafer cookie tied with shoestring licorice and a gummy worm.  (These disappeared so fast!)

 

(Appetizer fish plates were found at Target years ago.) However, I love these Mandydov fish shaped plates  found on Amazon.

How fun are these pics?

Fishing poles, fishing hat, life jacket and a blue shower curtain made this photo shoot a success!

(Not to mention all the dads and the adorable kids!)
