Sugar Cookie Turkey Dessert Pizza

Look what showed up early to our Thanksgiving table!
A Sugar Cookie Turkey Dessert Pizza.

Soooo yummy!

Whip up your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe.
(Or buy 2 tubes of sugar cookie dough at the grocery store.)

Spread cookie dough into a greased pizza pan.
Bake for 8-10 min at 400 degrees.  Let cool.

Roll out remaining cookie dough and cut out the turkey parts using a table knife.

I made the head and neck by cutting out a long 'light bulb' shape.
The eyes were circles cut out using a water bottle cap.
The snood was a 'mustache' shape.

Bake the pieces for 8 minutes at 400 degrees.  Let pieces cool.

Frost your turkey pieces.
I made a quick icing in my blender.
Whip together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1 tsp. vanilla and a pinch of salt.  Add more water if needed.

Separate the icing into different bowls and add food coloring.  Brown for the head, yellow/orange for the beak, red for the snood and white for the eyes.

Frost each of the pieces.  Let dry.  For the eyes I added a bit of black frosting and 2 candy eyes.

In a bowl, mix 1 carton of light cream cheese (room temperature) and stir in 1/2 cup sugar.

Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the sugar cookie pizza.

Immediately top with the sugar cookie turkey head pieces.

Using cut up strawberries, mandarin oranges, raspberries and any other fruit you might have,
line up the fruit in patterns.

Cover the entire frosted area.

Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cut into wedges using a pizza cutter.

Enjoy!
