Guess where I went last week-end?
The Funky Junk Salvation Show!

(My friend Dixie, and her sister Linda are the Funky Junk Sisters!)

This show is always packed full with treasures upon treasures!
My friend Kristen joined me again.

Check out some of the fun we had.

First of all, you've got to see this adorable camper decked out for Christmas!  Too cute!

We always love to see how each vendor displays their wares.

We loved this fun ornament chandelier.

 Look at this beautiful display!

These pumpkins caught our eye.

Take a look at this idea.
(I had to take a picture for my spoon loving friend, Leah.)

There is just something I love about tulle and sparkly glitter on a Christmas tree!

What a great time!

It's always hard to take pictures at these shows.
(No one wants you to copy their ideas...I totally get it...but I LOVE to document the fun!)

Check out our past Funky Junk Salvation adventures.

Sunday

Happy Easter Friends!  He is Risen!  He is Risen Indeed!
Check out this fun hostess gift I'm giving today!

We're off to an Easter breakfast then the Easter service, followed by an Easter dinner with friends and family.
I just had to copy this amazing hostess gift from Alexis at Jac O' Lyn Murphy.
(She has the best 'punny' gift ideas on her blog!)

I love how she 'planted' her lettuce in a pot for the gift!

I just threw my lettuce in a gift basket.
We're so glad you LETTUCE spend Easter with you.
I added in a melon..
You're one in a MELON!
 and some bananas...
We'll try not to go BANANAS!

Such an easy, but fun hostess gift for Easter!
You could use this idea for any spring or summer event that you need a hostess gift for.

OK-  I'm running off for a day filled with Easter fun!
Happy Easter!

Friday

It's Good Friday today.
A day when Christians remember Christ's death on the cross, for our sins.
It's a solemn day, but we know that Easter is coming...
and we can't wait to celebrate His resurrection!

However, for today...
I've rounded up a few cross inspired ideas from my link party
I always like to see how others manage to get the cross
into their Easter decor with all the eggs and bunnies.
Come take a look.

Homespun with Love brought crosses into their beautiful candy displays.
Each one has a different meaning:
-White chocolate cross reminds us of Christ's Love.
-Brown Chocolate cross reminds us of our sin.
-Chocolate Lamb reminds us of Jesus, the perfect lamb who took all our sins.

I love how Bear Rabbit Bear embellished this store bought cross with flowers.
The flowers add a sign of new life to the cross.

Mom On Timeout crafted these Coin Covered Crosses.
The money on the cross helps us remember that Jesus paid the penalty of sin for all of us.
What a powerful reminder.

Check out these beautiful 'stained glass' kid made crosses.
Another idea from Mom on Timeout.

Creating With the J's. made these gorgeous Easter cards.  Step-by-step instructions on her site.

And here's a few more cross craft ideas that I've already shared,
but couldn't help myself to share them once more...I just love them!

An Easter Egg Banner embellished with crosses by Teagan's Travels.

All Things Beautiful gorgeous moss cross.
Janis shows you how she made it out of styrofoam and sheet moss.

And remember my Easter Garden from this post?  Click here.

Well, check it out now!!
(The grass grew so tall, I had to 'extend' my crosses with some skewers.)

May you remember the true meaning of Easter this week-end.
It's Friday, but Sunday's coming!  Happy Easter, friends!

I'm talking about Easter Trees today!
{Branches brought into the home and decorated for Easter.}

On our tree, we added sparkly eggs, painted crosses and mini birdhouses.
Quick, inexpensive, yet colorful Easter decor...however, I think it's lacking something.
Hmmm...

Here's a few more Easter trees to look at for inspiration.

Check out this yarn wrapped Easter Egg Tree from One Charming Party.

Fox Hollow Cottage made this sweet Easter Egg Tree for $2.  Yes, $2!
I love how she spray painted her branches white.

Making It Feel Like Home shows you (step-by-step) how to make an Easter Tree.

52 Mantels made an Easter Tree with patterned paper leaves.
This tree could stay out all year long!  How fun!

Homespun with Love made this Symbolic Easter Tree.
Apparently, the Easter Tree tradition came from Germany.

Cottage in the Oaks made this Easter Passion Tree.
Visit her site for more information on making a tree that tells the story of Christ.

All Things Beautiful made a Jesus Easter Tree, too.
I've got this on my things to do next Easter!

Marisa's Pieces crafted this sweet Easter Tree in a pot.
I love the ribbon tied on the branches.

Hey... I'm thinking MY tree needs some festive Easter ribbon?  Yes???
AND, maybe a nest?!
Crafty Mischief made these nests from a drive thru cup holder.  So clever.
I wonder if there's anything else I should add?

And remember...there's lots of Easter inspiration at my Springtime Holiday Link Party!
