Thankful Tree-Themed Cards and Tags @michellepaigblogs.com

Ah, November. The month of gratitude and thankfulness. How can you not love this month?

There is something amazing about saying 'thank you' to someone that actually makes YOU (the giver of the 'thank you') feel so good. That's the power of gratitude. When we give thanks, we take our eyes off ourselves and place it on others. And when we move our thoughts off of ourselves, good things happen. We have a new mindset, a healthy attitude and a selfless heart that brings joy no matter what our circumstances.

I love to tell people thank you and if I can tell them thanks with a cute little card and treat...even better! Check out these printable thank you tags you can use all season long.
Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter and Christmas.

I love these Reeses's chocolate peanut butter trees candies. Have you seen them in your stores? If not, (affiliate link) click here. These candy trees work perfectly with any of the tags. Just tape a small size onto the back of each tag and hand out to those you want to say 'thanks' to.

You could also use these tags with other candy or chocolates that have a tree printed on the packaging. Look how fun this Andes Mint chocolate bar looks with the Christmas thankful tag. Hole punch tag and tie on with a coordinating ribbon.

These also work well with gifts with leaves printed on them. This is my current favorite smelling hand soap this year from Bath & Body Works....White Coconut Caramel! Oh wow!

Another fun idea is to use this tag on a mini Christmas tree or plant. Hole punch the tag and tie with ribbon directly on the tree. What a fun and festive gift!

Just had to share with you this little card I made my mom, who recently had foot and toe surgery.  And naturally, it's filled with foot and toe puns. You do know that puns make everyone feel better, right?!  Take a look.
Toe and Foot Surgery Get Well Card

I added a pair of fuzzy socks to go with the card.

Graduation cards are flying out of here faster than you can say 'Congratulations'!  I'm not sure why, but we sure know a lot of high school and college graduates this year!  Whew!
If you're looking for a fun graduation card and gift, take a look at these crafty graduate amazon cards.

You may have remembered this post when I crafted up some 'amAzing' dad gift cards.  This time it's all about the 'grAds'.

This post contains affiliate links to help you locate supplies.

Supplies:

-cardstock.  (Preferably in the graduate's school colors.)
-glue stick, tape, baker's twine
-large envelopes
-black letter stickers
-white letter stickers
-Amazon gift cards (Use an Amazon gift card with the large letter 'a' on it. Any amount.)

Cut your cardstock to the correct size to fit in your envelope.  I used two colors.  One for the back and a smaller size to fit on top.
Adhere with glue stick.

Use the white letter stickers to spell the word, 'GRAD' directly on the gift card. My letter 'G' hung over the edge of the card, but that doesn't matter. If your sticker letter set doesn't have exclamation marks, use a lowercase letter 'j'.  Just cut off the curl on the end and flip it upside down.
Use the scotch tape (make loops with tape) to stick the gift card onto the cardstock.

Using the black letter stickers, spell out the message,
"Congrats"  or "Way to Go" onto the cardstock, above the gift card.

It's even more fun when you have lots of different black letter fonts.  This is a great way to use up some of those leftover stickers you might already have. Use capital letters mixed in with lower case letters.

I tied on some baker's twine around the entire card to finish it off.

Match the twine color with the card...of course!

Another quick option if you don't have letter stickers is to use a fine tip, white paint marker like this one.  Write directly on the card and let dry.

Congratulations to all those graduates!

If you're a long time reader of my blog, you know that I love to make cards QUICKLY!
But now I've really upped my game with tags instead of cards!  Who needs a card when you can make an adorable tag in half the time?

The secret?
Washi Tape, of course!  Washi Tape ranks right up there next to chocolate in my book.

(This post contains affiliate links to help you find the products you need.  No product was given to me. All opinions are 100% mine. Thank you.)

Aren't those fun?  Here's how to make your own.

Grab a piece of cardstock and cut it into a rectangle shape.
1. Cut a long triangle on the right side of your rectangle cardstock.
2. Flip the triangle over (the one you just cut off) and place it on the left side of the rectangle.
3. Using the triangle as a pattern, cut the left side.
This allows both the right and left sides of the tag to match.

4.  Start covering the tag with strips of Washi Tape.
Washi Tape can be found at craft stores or buy the tapes in packs through Amazon.  One roll of tape lasts a long time when making these tags.  Here's some options to consider.

You can tear the Washi Tape to fit directly on the tag with torn, raw edges showing, like this one:

or have clean, straight edges like this one:

To make clean edges, extend strips of Washi Tape over both edges of the tag.

Then, turn tag over and trim the edges with scissors.

5.  Hole punch tag.  (Optional: put in an eyelet.)
If you've never used a Crop-A-Dile Power Punch you're missing out!  This is one of my favorite crafting tools.  It punches holes and then presses the eyelets in securely.

6.  Add a letter sticker on top of the tag.  You can use the first letter of the recipient, or...

spell out their entire name.  Just be sure your tag is big enough.

Here's some letter sticker options for you.

7. Write a message on the back of the tag and tie onto a gift, bag or box.

There you have it!  Super-Quick Washi Tape Tags.
