What does it tell you that my blog is full of multiple surgery pun cards? Foot surgery, hip surgery, lap band surgery and now knee surgery. Yes, I'm getting old, my folks are getting old, my friends are getting old, hey- we're all getting old.
Like it or not, here's another printable pun card for a knee surgery or knee replacement recipient. Isn't life fun?

And you could add a few knee related gifts to your punny card.
Not that you 'kneed' to or anything, but it might bring a friend some 'knee'ed knee-slapping laughs. (Yes, I have completely overextended it on the knee puns. I can't stop!)

Here's a little shopping list to get you started.
-knee high hosiery
-knee high socks
-knee bandages
-knee patches
-kneeling pad for gardening
-bee themed products (You're the Bee's Knees.)

And here's a few more....
Who knew there were so many knee related products?

My mom just had a knee replacement--hence the reason why I'm writing knee puns, so I gathered a few little things for her and attached the card to the box.

When I told my sister in-law we were having a 'lemon themed' Mother's Day, (click here if you missed that party.), she put together the sweetest yellow, lemon-themed gift bucket for my mom.
So cute, that I had to rip it apart and take a few pictures to show to you all.

Friday

It's a yellow, lemon-themed Mother's Day at our house.

Welcome!
I surprised myself this year, since I usually stay away from the color yellow. It's never been my favorite color to decorate with--however, after bringing this bright and cheery color into my home, I'm now thinking that yellow IS my color...at least for a little while.

There's something amazing about the way the color yellow reacts when placed with black and white plaid. I think it's growing on me.

When planning parties, I sometimes choose a theme based on party decorations or plate or napkin patterns that I see in the stores. This year while walking through Party City around February, I spotted these fabulous lemon plates and knew I needed them for Mother's Day. Currently, lemons are super trendy and many stores carry their own version of lemon-themed merchandise. Once you start looking for lemons, you start to see lemons everywhere! These rustic chargers made the plates look even sweeter on the table.

Glass cylinder vases (I bought a box of 12 at the Dollar Tree years ago.) were filled with grocery store yellow and white flowers. The black and white checked tablecloth is wipe-able and disposable, perfect for our party.
My old Crate & Barrel dining tables allow for 18 guests, when they're extended all the way and put end to end.

18 guests attending our Mother's Day celebration, meant that not every place setting would have a rustic charger (I only own 12) or would they all have this gold silverware that I adore. I had to use some of my plastic gold chargers and regular silverware, and I thought it looked OK. I even ran out of lemon paper plates, so I had to use a few yellow plaid ones. The best thing about a large mix and match table...is the freedom to mix and match-- not every setting is supposed to be identical. I have to admit, that concept is a little hard for someone like me. (Enneagram 1)

Faux lemons and faux vines (found at JoAnns) with 2" wide yellow ribbon, lined the center of the tables. Real sliced lemons were placed on the edge of every drinking glass. A mini yellow cupcake liner filled with these glorious Sconza Yellow Lemoncello Chocolate Almonds were next to each glass.

I made super quick place cards using yellow tags that I had on hand and a touch of black and white plaid ribbon-easy!

In my opinion, it's much easier to have a double buffet line when you have more than 12 guests. We lined up the same food on each side of the kitchen island, to have 2 lines of guests getting food at once. They serve themselves using glass plates. I use glass plates at every party. They're so easy to clean and they look fabulous.

Our menu included: lemon marinated grilled chicken, lemon shrimp, raw veggies, fruit salad, croissants and green salad. And of course, lemonade.

The food-filled glass plates were placed right on top of the beautiful paper plates and chargers. This allows the paper plates to be used for dessert.

To add to the theme, I hung yellow paper lanterns in different heights with yellow curling ribbon.

Dessert was quite fun and spectacular!
Using lots of yellow candies and sweets, I assembled this yellow themed dessert board.
My sister-in law made lemon bars and cookies.

And I made lemon shaped sugar cookies.

Of course we had a photo booth with all the moms.
I hung a black and white shower curtain on the wall and made a balloon garland with about 20 yellow balloons.
