Herb Garden for Mom!

 Herb Garden for Mom @michellepaigeblogs.com

Every year for Mother's Day my mom asks for an herb garden.

Plant an herb garden for mom @michellepaigeblogs.com

She brings me her empty, old planter and I fill it up with herbs that she loves.

This year I made name markers for the herbs, with my Cricut machine.  I cut out each name using vinyl and the Cuttin' Up cartridge.
I didn't have any laminate sheets, so I cut up this laminated/plastic folder that I found for $1.

I placed each of the vinyl names on a plastic rectangle.  I threaded the rectangles through forks that I purchased at Goodwill for .20 a piece.

I also added a bit of ribbon to each fork.  I can never do a project without ribbon!

I then stuck the forks into the soil.

Now, there's no mistake about which herb is which!

Target clearance-- always take a look!

In the after Easter clearance section at Target, I found hot pink and lime green fencing! Perfect for the garden!
(Yes, I took a picture...don't you carry your camera with you at all times?)

I used wire cutters to cut one fencing section apart from the group of three.

I stuck the section right into the middle of the planter.

I made one for my Mother-in-Law too!

A fun gift to give and receive!
