My 'awesome' husband and I teach the Eager Beaver Bible Club every Sunday to the Kindergartners and 1st graders at our church.
Today was our End-of-the-School Year Celebration.
You can't have a celebration without decorations!
Remember these branches from last Sunday's post? Click here.
No party is complete without treats...beaver treats, of course!
Beaver cupcakes!
I modified the idea from this site, click here.
(Junior Mints eyes, M&M's nose and ears, almond teeth, sugar wafer tails.)
Beaver Lodges!
(You knew that beaver's homes are called lodges, right?)
(Melt a bag of chocolate chips, stir in a bag of Chow Mein crunchy noodles, drop on waxed paper to dry.)
Beaver Sticks!
(Pretzel rods dipped in chocolate then rolled in sprinkles.)
Sweet Beavers Candies!
(Candy the colors of our theme: yellow and brown!)
To wash it all down, Thirsty Beavers Lemonade!
We had a short program and Bible lesson, followed by some beaver jokes from my husband...
"What did the beaver say to the tree?"
"It's been nice 'gnawing' you!"

"What does a beaver eat for breakfast?"
"Oak-meal."

"Oak-meal."

"How does a beaver get online?"
"It 'logs' on!"
"It 'logs' on!"
We then had our award ceremony--handing out prizes and new Bibles.
And finally...it was time for those Eager Beavers to 'dig' in!
Good work, Eager Beavers!
Happy Summer!
